The Akaolisah's
In my dimly lit room, as i tell this story, my withering hands could barely hold a pen talkmore of a keyboard, a device I could scarcely have imagined in my youth. The digital age has unfolded before my eyes, and it’s with great pride that I welcome you to the Akaolisah family’s corner on the internet!
We are a close-knit and vibrant family with a rich history, rooted in Nigeria. I am the head of this wonderful family. I am Mr. Gabriel Onwukadike Akaolisah, the patriarch, who has by grace, led this family through an inspiring journey filled with courage, love, and resilience.
Here, we celebrate our family’s story, tracing our roots back to Umuohama, Ukpor in Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State, Nigeria.
The saying “Igba uzo nwanyi, abughi igba uzo nwa” rings in my ears. Marrying early isn’t giving birth early, they say, and indeed, everything in life has its own time.
Stay tunned, as I tell you this story…

A Family of Faith
Our roots trace back to Umuohama, Ukpor, in Nnewi South LGA of Anambra State, Nigeria, a place where tradition and culture have deep roots. Yet, we are also a devout Catholic family, our home resonating with the echoes of Catholic hymns and the fragrance of incense. We’ve embraced the teachings and values of the Church, which have been our guiding light throughout the decades.
Our Catholic faith has been a cornerstone of our lives, instilling in us a deep sense of morality, love, and togetherness.
A Journey of Resilience
My own journey has been one of profound resilience. Born into a world where opportunities were scarce, I narrowly completed standard 6 in the then educational structure of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Nigerian Civil War, a chapter etched in history and in my heart, tested our mettle. I served as a soldier during those tumultuous years, and the scars of that era remain.
But adversity, they say, is the crucible in which character is forged. After the war, I embarked on a quest for a brighter future, seeking greener pastures in the bustling city of Lagos. My brother and I, with little more than hope in our hearts, navigated the trials of uncertainty.
On one of my not so frequent visits to Umuohama, that I found my life’s greatest treasure, my beloved wife, Mrs. Theresa Ekemma Akaolisah. Her unwavering support and love have been the driving force behind our family’s achievements.
Together, they laid the foundation for this beautiful family.
Our Beloved Children
Our Beloved Children
Our journey was enriched with the arrival of our children, each a testament to the resilience and love that has defined our family. We welcomed our first child, Chukwudi Gabriel Akaolisah, in the early 1980s. He is not only the heir to our legacy but also a loving husband to Ruth Akaolisah and a devoted father to Kosisochukwu Akaolisah.
A few years later, our family expanded with the arrival of Johnpaul Izunna Akaolisah, the need to relocate back home was increasingly high with the passing of my beloveth mother.
Few years later, with the love and blessings of God upon use, we had a princess Uchenna Akaolisah, now Mrs Blessing Uchenna Ojiwuru, and her husband, Chinedu Orjiwuru, who blessed us with two lovely grandchildren, Chizitere and Chisimdi Orjiwuru.
With Alex Emeka Akaolisah in-utero, we decided to relocate to Obiaruku in Ukwanni LGA Area of Delta State, where they welcomed two more bundles of joy, Alex and Michael Ezinwanne Akaolisah, in the late 80s and early 90s, respectively.

A Proud Heritage
Today, our family stands as a testament to the power of faith, resilience, and determination. We cherish our Catholic faith and Igbo traditions, interwoven with the opportunities and challenges of the modern world.
As I share this story, I reflect on the unwavering belief that, with determination, even the humblest roots can yield great fruit. It’s a lesson I’ve learned over the years, and I hope that our family’s legacy will inspire future generations to embrace life’s challenges with faith and love.
The years have brought both trials and triumphs, and while I may be in my late 90s, my heart is filled with gratitude for the enduring love and bonds that have carried us through the ages.
The Akaolisah family story continues, and we look forward to sharing more of it with you.
